The 2020 Edition of the MassDOT Highway Division Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges supersedes and replaces all previous editions of the Standard Specifications. Talking or texting on cellphones, eating, conversing with passengers and other distractions present a major safety threat to drivers, and when driving for business purposes, a serious risk to your employees and your firm. Massachusetts is a global economic leader because of our culture of innovation, but our transportation system is holding us back. We must invest in a new vision for transportation and connect with our legislators to build a revenue package that will move Massachusetts beyond a state of good repair and invest in a system that reflects what our economy should be.

October 23, 2019, is Imagine a Day Without Water. This campaign invites us to consider what we would do without reliable water and sewer services. With reliable water and sewer service, we do not have to think twice about the infrastructure that brings water to our homes, and then safely returns water to the environment. Without it, we would not be able to live healthy lives, work in a growing economy, or guarantee our public safety.
