The BEC addresses business issues of member firms in the mechanical, electrical, structural, and other building-related disciplines. BEC members partner with the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM), the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), the University of Massachusetts Building Authority, the State College Building Authority, the Board of Building Regulations and Standards and other agencies working on public procurement and project delivery for vertical design and construction.

Updated Map of Stretch and Specialized code communities
The Green Communities Division maintains a map and table illustrating which towns and cities have adopted the Stretch energy code. This map is now updated to show both Stretch code adoption and Specialized opt-in code communities.
