This symposium carries 6 PDHs (Professional Development Hours).
If you're on the fence about attending, I encourage you to listen to a detailed conversation Erin McLaughlin, ACEC’s Vice President for Private Market Resources had about the symposium as a guest on ACEC's Engineering Influence podcast.
ACEC's Private Market Symposiums convene clients, economists, policy makers and engineering leaders in different cities throughout the U.S. for in-depth looks into each private market. This Symposium focuses on the Health Care+Science Technology Markets and is limited to about 75 attendees, enabling an intimate environment for networking between colleagues, clients, and industry leaders.
The health care (HC) and science+technology (S+T) markets are large with $45 billion in HC construction estimated for 2020, according to FMI. In addition to hospitals, facility types include outpatient centers and medical office buildings (MOBs), as well as laboratory, production and administrative space for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and university clients. A wide range of engineering services are provided to these clients, often with specialized needs related to mechanical/electrical, HVAC, and commissioning.

COVID-19 Protocols for Keeping You Safe:
ACEC is requiring all attendees to be screened prior to attending the Private Market Symposium to establish either full vaccination status or a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to attendance. ACEC has partnered with CLEAR, a well-known and secure third-party vendor, to conduct this verification step well in advance of each Symposium. All attendees will be sent a link by ACEC to complete the process, but the uploading of your vaccination card or negative test will be submitted directly to CLEAR for their HIPPA-compliant processing. ACEC will not be in possession of any documentation that is sent to CLEAR. All attendees will receive confirmation of their clearance status directly from CLEAR on their mobile devices (a “Health Pass”). If you attended the ACEC 2021 Fall Conference in Marco Island, FL and have a CLEAR Health Pass from your vaccinated status, you will be able to share that Health Pass for the Symposium. ACEC requests all attendees wear masks while indoors and not actively eating or drinking. ACEC will continue to monitor COVID-19 protocols as they develop.
