Learn about the MA Housing Choice Initiative program as well as Legislation filed by the Baker Administration to allow cities and towns to adopt local zoning initiatives by majority vote of their legislative bodies.
The legislation identifies reducing dimensional requirements, adopting 40R Smart Growth zoning districts, allowing mixed-use developments by special permits, allowing increased density, reducing parking ratios, as well as several other considerations.
