Join us for a presentation and conversation on the challenges of Green Infrastructure through a series of case studies that involve both Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering. To lead this discussion, our speakers will be Robert Uhlig and David LaPointe.
Robert R. Uhlig, FASLA, LEED AP BD+C
Bob Uhlig is Vice President of Landscape Architecture & Urban Design at Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio, where he applies his more than 30 years of landscape design expertise to enhance the quality of life in cities and towns, mixed-use developments, and institutional campuses through engagement and collaboration with stakeholders and the broader community. He has led the planning and design for a variety of sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects that solve site design and engineering challenges and involve the seamless integration of art, architecture, and natural systems. His recent projects include the award-winning Hancock Adams Common in Quincy, the MBTA Government Center Plaza redesign, and the Breakwater North residences in Lynn. Bob has also participated in a variety of planning charrettes and community workshops to address resiliency needs in South and East Boston. In 2017, he was inducted into the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Council of Fellows in recognition of his work and dedication to the landscape design profession.
David LaPointe, FASLA
David LaPointe is an Registered Landscape Architect and leads the Landscape Architecture group at Beals and Thomas, Inc. Dave serves as a project manager for an array of project types, including office buildings, institutional campuses, industrial facilities, recreational areas and residential developments. He is a past member of the Norfolk Planning Board, and a current member of the Norfolk Design Review Board.
