Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) In Massachusetts is a state-offered benefit that allows eligible employees in Massachusetts to take up to 26 weeks of paid leave for medical or family reasons.
PFML is funded through a Massachusetts tax, and is separate from the federally mandated benefits offered by the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and from leave benefits that may be offered by an employer.
PFML benefits will become available on January 1, 2021. We are delighted that Cheryl Waterhouse of Donovan Hatem will join us to discuss the next phase of implementation.
