ACEC/MA Fly-In to Washington, DC

ACEC/MA Leaders plan a special fly-in to Washington, DC on June 5-6..

Join us to meet with members of the MA congressional delegation in a small and fun group setting for off-the-record conversations and insights.

Attendees will be responsible for the costs of your airfare, ground transportation (metro, cabs, etc.) and lodging.  ACEC/MA’s PAC Admin Fee will cover our group lunch on September 17 and group dinner on September 17.

Lodging: ACEC/MA has reserved a block of 5 rooms at the Capitol Hill Hotel, on the Senate side of the Capitol, a short walk from the ACEC Residence at 2 Sixth St, NE. The block is now expired but please contact the hotel to see if they have room.

Airfare:  Please book to arrive in Washington, DC by 11 AM on September 17. Please book your return trip to Boston for mid-day on September 18, so you can participate in all of our fly-in activities.

We have three Planned opportunities for US House members and our two US Senators to see our ACEC/MA members:

1. September 17:  Evening Reception at ACEC Residence
2. September 17: Stop by our dinner at a nearby restaurant
3. September 18: Stop by ACEC Residence for morning coffee

ACEC/MA’s  PAC Admin Fee will cover:

• Group Lunch for group on September 17
• Group Dinner at Restaurant on September 17

September 17-18, 2024 – Draft Schedule for planning – Start times are approximate

Tuesday, September 17

8 or 9 AM app.:

• Fly to DC to arrive by 11 am  (Flight on your own)

Mid-day or early afternoon:

• Lunch at restaurant near the ACEC Residence or ACEC National Office
• Government Affairs Briefing by ACEC National Staff at the ACEC Residence or ACEC National office.  

Afternoon:

• Potential Behind the Scenes Tour of US Capitol  (60-90 Minutes); this is not standard tour, but a special tour
• Potential separate meetings  with US Senators in afternoon

4 – 6:30 pm:

Reception at the ACEC Residence, 2 Sixth St, NE Washington, DC 20002 with House delegation invited

• ACEC (Dave Bender) handle invitations to House members.
• ACEC national arranges food/beverage and bills back to Congressional campaigns not to MO)

7ish PM:

Dinner at DC Restaurant near ACEC Residence (paid by ACEC/MA PAC Admin fee, arranged by ACEC national)

• Members of Congress invited to stop by dinner for glass of wine

Wednesday, September 18

• Morning continental breakfast at Hotel
• 9- 10 AM: Morning coffee at ACEC Residence with Members of Congress: ACEC Residence, 2 Sixth St, NE Washington, DC 20002
