The July 29 ACEC/MA DEI Forum will meet using Microsoft Teams.
This meeting is open to employees of ACEC/MA Member Firms.
If your firm is an ACEC/MA member, YOU are an ACEC/MA member.
Background: There are Workforce Participation Goal Requirements under M.G.L. c. 149, § 44A(2)(G) that design professional firms need to watch, as you may increasingly see contract language with reporting requirements for all state and state-assisted design work in Massachusetts, including municipal projects. This has been state law since 2012, but now there is more focus on the implementation of M.G.L. c. 149, § 44A(2)(G) for municipalities working on projects funded in part by such agencies as MSBA and others.
Deborah Anderson of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office will join us to explain the participation goals and to hear from us on questions and clarifications with which the Attorney General office can assist.
Currently, State-Mandated Workforce Participation Goals are: 6.9% for women, 15.3% for minorities
