ACEC/MA has partnered with MassSTEM Hub on these opportunities:
Mass STEM Hub Seeks ACEC/MA Volunteers By 4/16/21
Judge student projects or do a virtual classroom visit
Through Mass STEM Hub we have the opportunity to inspire middle and high school STEM students working on real-world projects. They’re eager for feedback from professionals like us and it only takes a few flexible hours of our time.
All it takes are 3 easy steps:
1. Sign up as a Mass STEM Hub volunteer by 4/16 on https://mshindustrychallenges.secure-platform.com/a/judgeSolicitationProfiles/create?solicitationId=5
2. Block out 3 hours on your calendar sometime during April 19 - 30 - on 4/19 you’ll receive an email with your ~10 assigned projects to review and link to the online judge portal. The portal will guide you through the process and you’ll submit your written feedback by 5 pm on 4/30.
3. Optional - Connect with students and teachers live with a Virtual Visit: Adopt a classroom and become a virtual classroom visitor. Mass STEM Hub will introduce you to a teacher in early May to set up a virtual visit with their class.
See this page for our ACEC/MA Classroom Visit Presentation Module For Classroom Visits to Promote #STEM Careers for materials to help structure your virtual visit.
These volunteer opportunities are totally on your schedule. Your participation means so much to the students and teachers. Join ACEC/MA members to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals!
