Please join Debra Dyleski-Najjar, Esq. for this two-hour discussion where she will review issues that arise in the workplace relating to medical and recreational marijuana, as well as the recent removal of Cannabidiol (CBD) from Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). While marijuana remains classified as a Schedule I substance under the federal CSA, the U.S. Department of Justice recently removed CBD from the CSA and approved a new drug containing CBD. This is developing and rapidly evolving area of the law. It will be important for employers to remain abreast of developments in their own states and to carefully review workplace policies, including drug testing programs.
