On February 28, 2024, ACEC/MA's Transportation Agencies Liaison Committee (TALC) hosted a Zoom briefing with Peter Seweryn, Deputy Director, Capital Asset Planning.
Here is a pdf of his presentation
Peter shared this presentation about Asset Information Delivery with the goal of maintaining and improving their Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). The MBTA wants to use the data to drive how they manage the lifecycle of MBTA assets and State of Good Repair. The MBTA’s EAM will be most effective if the information needed is updated and provided as part of their consultant’s deliverables. In design and construction phase the consultant will be responsible to input the data into the ADIS. They will be involved from design kick off to advise and ensure compliance with the new standards they are now using. After conceptual design the MBTA will populate the asset IDs, which will be uploaded to e-Builder after which consultants will update the ADIS. This process will repeat at each design phase. In the construction phase kick off, ADIS will also be present and periodically checked on to ensure everything is being tagged and tracked completely. Asset IDs will be a deliverable in all phases.
