This important directive provides a formal procedure for refining the Scope of Work for projects early in the development process, prior to the 25% design submission. The directive includes a new Meeting Invite Chart that should be used by Project Managers to help ensure that key people participate in the development of project scopes. The directive also includes a new Project Scoping Checklist to help guide the scoping process. The Project Scoping Checklist is also available separately on mass.gov in Excel format.
Finally the directive introduces a formal procedure for evaluating and approving revised Scopes of Work that vary significantly from the Scopes of Work that were initially submitted to and approved by the Project Review Committee.
