A great opportunity in Massachusetts awaits you! The Massachusetts Division is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Civil Engineer (Structural) - (GS-0810-12/13). As the Division Bridge Engineer (Structural Engineer) in Massachusetts, you will be a member of the Technical Services Team and be responsible for managing and promoting the Federal highway programs applicable to bridges and other structures within the State. The employee coordinates and evaluates the structural programs and assists coworkers within the Division office in addressing technically complex or controversial issues on project specific applications related to structures.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned mid-career structural engineering professional with diverse experience in bridge/tunnel design; bridge/tunnel construction inspection; and bridge/tunnel program management and excellent communication skills.
