The American Council of Engineering Companies/Massachusetts Awards Committee is seeking candidates for the 2025 ACEC/MA Young Professional of the Year Award. 

This award recognizes the accomplishments of our young professionals who have contributed to the engineering profession and impacted society.  ACEC/MA will select two award recipients.

Deadline: Monday, February 3, 2025

Submit nominations to acecma@engineers.org

1.         Name of Award: ACEC/MA Young Professional Award

2.         Nominations: Nominations for this award shall only be made through ACEC/Massachusetts, the applicable Member Organizations (MO).

  • A nominee shall be employed at a Member Firm of ACEC/MA.  
  • ACEC/MA will select two award winners who will receive awards at the ACEC/MA Awards Gala. These nominations will be submitted to .
  • Nominations are due to ACEC/MA by 5:00 pm on Monday, February 3, 2025.
  • All nominations must be complete and submitted electronically on the nomination form provided. Submit nomination form with all materials to acecma@engineers.org
  • Incomplete nomination forms may delay processing and not meet the deadline.
  • The nominee’s headshot and firm logo may be emailed separately.

3.         Evaluation and Selection of Nominees:

  • The ACEC/MA Awards Committee will evaluate the nomination materials and make recommendations to the ACEC/MA Board, which will vote on the recommendations.

4.         Criteria for Award:

  • The nominees shall be employees of ACEC/MA member firms in Massachusetts.
  • The nominees shall be engineers 35 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2025.
  • Each nominee shall be a registered Professional Engineer or a Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts who resides in Massachusetts.

5.         Recognition:

  • ACEC/MA Awards Winners will be recognized at the ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Awards Gala on April 7, 2025. They will be invited as guests of ACEC/MA and may bring one guest with them.
  • National winners will be recognized in person at ACEC’s 2025 Fall Conference.

ACEC/MA will forward 1-2 local winners to ACEC national.

The ACEC/MA award recipient(s) will be honored at ACEC/MA's Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala on April 7, 2025 in Boston.
