ACEC/MA DBE Resource Page (updated 2/1/23)
ACEC/MA formed a DBE Task Force focused on understanding how ACEC/MA can encourage, expand, and support underrepresented and growing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms that are interested in working on federally-funded infrastructure projects. With the anticipated increased funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), we expect there will be significant opportunities for DBE firms to participate in both prime and subconsultant roles on federally-funded infrastructure projects in Massachusetts. The goal of this page is to serve as a resource for DBEs as well as prime consultants looking to engage DBE firms on their projects.
Our initial focus is on teaming opportunities with the MBTA.
On June 7 and June 8, 2022, ACEC/MA held briefing sessions for DBE firms in the engineering and related design professional NAICS codes to discuss teaming opportunities and working on MBTA projects. The presentation slides are below along with the results of a survey (to be added soon) taken by DBE firms to indicate their interest and capabilities relevant to MBTA project needs. ACEC/MA also provided an opportunity for DBEs to provide brief profiles of the services they offer and these profiles can be viewed at their respective links further down this page. These efforts are only the initial steps in a program ACEC/MA is undertaking to engage with DBEs who can support the upcoming work, improve communications, and build long lasting partnerships.
