As a design professional, your experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm can show the students that the STEM world is one of endless imagination and possibilities.  You can become the inspirational role model that triggers the students' interest in STEM and show them the foundational skills needed to pursue careers in the various STEM fields.

In collaboration with the ACEC/MA STEM Outreach Task Force, the ACEC/MA Leadership Education Committee (LEC) is excited to announce that we have developed a classroom visit presentation module as a guide to anyone who may want to be a classroom speaker. Has your child or their teacher invited you to come speak in their classroom about your career in the design professions? Would you be happy to do it but don't know where to start? Our module features step-by-step guidance to empower you to create your own presentation from beginning to end, including pre-visit essential tips that will help you manage the presentation smoothly. The module is flexible and can be adjusted to any level of students from grades K-12 and it was refined for virtual visits. Use this module to inspire, educate, and most importantly, offer a memorable experience that could make a lasting impact to the students.
