The ACEC/MA 2012 Community Service Award recognizes ACEC/MA members for their accomplishments in community service.

 

To nominate an ACEC/MA member, fill out application and submit it to:  ACEC/MA at:  acec/ma@engineers.org

no later than 4:00PM, June 1, 2012 for state-level consideration.

ELIGIBILITY:  Any Member, Retired Member or Fellow of ACEC/Massachusetts who is not currently serving on the ACEC/MA Board.  Members of the ACEC Committee of Fellows are not eligible to receive the award.

 

NOMINEES:

  • Shall be outstanding individuals who have been involved in community service such as boards, commissions or community groups and shall have demonstrated a sustained commitment to their communities.
  • Shall be perceived by the public in their communities as leaders.
  • May have been active in local, county or state government.
  • Shall have served to influence decision making on issues other than professional.
  • May demonstrate through their civic involvement how the quality of life in their community has been enhanced.
  • Shall have received no remuneration for professional services rendered, if any.
  • Shall be or have been a principal or manager in an ACEC/Massachusetts Full Member Firm for at least five (5) years.

ACEC/MA will select a State Community Service Award Winner and then forward the application to ACEC for the National Community Service Award Competition.  If the nominee is selected to receive an award at the National Level, the award will be made to the recipient in person at the ACEC Fall Conference 2012 in Boca Raton, FL.
 

The ACEC/MA 2012 Community Service Award Winner will be announced and recognized at ACEC/MA’s Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala in March 2013.
